The Classics series of Chateau Laguiole was created by Master Sommelier Guy Vialis in 1993 and was the first true Laguiole shape sommelier corkscrew on the market. Since its debuts, the classics series has been a favorite among the world best sommeliers and is still, to this day, the best seller series of all high-end Laguiole corkscrew style.
The Classics has been designed to emphasize the handle material. With minimalist straight cut brass at each ending of the handle, the warmth of the wood or the glossy touch of the horn makes them a discreet and true master piece of artcraft for wine enthusiasts.
This gorgeous model is made of Boxwood (Buxus sempervirens) harvested in France. Boxwood is only available in small quantities and tends to be very expensive. It has this light cream to yellow color with a fine, even texture with a natural luster.
