It is a traditional French meal from the Middle Ages. Experienced French chefs are very familiar with the traditional 5-piece meat pie mold. It is easy to assemble but the stability of the shape is difficult to control. Separated baking mold accessories are often lost during disassembly or cleaning. More importantly, when using traditional molds to remove the film the bottom mold must be taken out first. Which result in damaging the outer layer of the pie. French Chefs then started to humorously say that the meat pie was sliced. Thankfully our meat pie mold greatly simplifies the baking process.
